When a recent storm swept through Wimbleton, ND, Gary, a local homeowner, noticed a large section of his asphalt roof had been torn away, leaving part of the roof decking exposed. To make matters worse, a long piece of fascia and gutter was also hanging loose and in need of repair. Concerned about the potential for further damage, Gary contacted the trusted professionals at Vita Roofing for a prompt inspection.
Upon arrival, our roofing team conducted a thorough assessment and determined that, fortunately, the storm damage was limited to one area of the roof. Our experts quickly completed the necessary repairs, resecured the fascia, and ensured the roof was watertight once again. We also explained to Gary that while a full roof replacement wasn’t needed at this time, the age of his roof means a replacement may be wise within the next 3–5 years to maintain long-term protection.
Thanks to Vita Roofing, Gary’s home is once again safe, secure, and ready to handle whatever weather North Dakota brings next.
This home, built in 1993, required a complete roof replacement. Once a roof is aged over 30 years, this is generally around the time a roof needs a facelift. After receiving a phone call from the property owner, we offered a free, no-obligation roof estimate from the professional roofing contractors at Vita Roofing. Our trusted salesman provided several recommendations for the best roofing options. After careful consideration, Ryan decided to proceed with a full shingle replacement, opting for IKO Dynasty Asphalt Shingles in Granite Black. These Class 3, impact-rated heavyweight shingles are made with a resilient, inorganic glass base that is coated with weather-resistant asphalt. The shingles feature a perforated, three-piece, pre-tapered design, ensuring long-lasting performance, and are surfaced with ceramic granules that protect the asphalt from ultraviolet radiation. During the roof renovation, we set up tarps to protect the surrounding structures and contain debris. We removed the existing roofing system down to the decking and inspected the decking for any soft or rotten areas, replacing them as necessary. Next, we installed two rows of Ice and Water Shield along all eaves and one row in the valleys. We then applied synthetic underlayment to the remaining areas of the roof and installed an aluminum drip edge around the perimeter.
Ryan was very pleased with the final results and will recommend Vita Roofing to everyone he knows!
Michael, in Valley City, ND, contacted Vita Roofing after their aging double-layer flat roofing system began showing signs of water intrusion and wear. During the inspection, the team discovered failing seams, deteriorating materials, and even sections of roof decking that needed attention. To provide a long-term solution, Vita Roofing recommended a full EPDM roof replacement, designed to protect the building against leaks, heavy rain, and harsh UV exposure.
The crew began by performing a complete tear-off of the old double-layer system, removing all damaged materials down to the decking. After repairing and replacing several weakened deck boards, they carefully installed the new EPDM membrane along with edge metal, screws, and plates for a secure foundation. Using high-quality bonding adhesive, flashing, and a precise transition tie-in between the flat roof and shingle sections, Vita Roofing ensured every detail was watertight and built to last.
Now, the property is safeguarded with a durable, low-maintenance EPDM system that offers decades of protection. The owner was impressed not only by the improved performance but also by the clean, professional installation from start to finish. With expert service and quality materials, Vita Roofing continues to be the go-to roofing contractor for flat roof replacement and repair in the Valley City, ND area.
Jack went out to a home in West Fargo, ND, to do a complete roof inspection. Mitchell called Vita Roofing after a major hail storm. Due to the size of the hail and the damage it caused, Mitchell needed to have his roof checked out to confirm the extent of the damage.
After the inspection, it was confirmed that the roof sustained considerable injury to multiple shingles. The hail strikes left 1" dents in the asphalt. Once the shingle is compermised, it is important to have it replaced. If not, water will seep into the areas where the hail left the marks and will cause deterioration of the roofing underlayment and decking.
After Mitchell spoke to Jack about his options, Jack assured him that a roof replacement was the best option. If he decided to only repair the damaged sections of asphalt shingles, it would only be a matter of time before the roof would need to be completely replaced. He agreed to a full shingle replacement. He decided to install IKO Nordic top-tier class 4-rated shingles. This asphalt shingle is designed to withstand extreme weather conditions & is impact resistant. This will give his home a better chance to survive future hailstorms.
Our professional crew recently completed a full roof replacement using IKO Class 3 Impact Rated Dynasty Shingles in Frostone Grey, delivering both superior durability and a fresh, modern look for Cordell, a local Fargo homeonwer. Before the work began, we set up protective tarps to safeguard landscaping, siding, and other ground-level structures from debris. The existing roofing system was removed down to the decking, where we performed a thorough inspection to identify and replace any soft or rotten boards. This careful preparation ensured a strong, lasting foundation for the new roof.
To provide maximum weather protection, we installed two rows of Sealoron XT Ice and Water Shield along all eaves and one row up each valley, plus Sealoron XT Deck Tape on all decking seams. The remaining surface was covered with Velora One Synthetic Underlayment, offering enhanced water resistance and durability. For finishing touches, we added aluminum drip edge around the entire perimeter, seam-taped the eave edges, installed starter shingles along rakes and eaves, and flashed all penetrations to prevent leaks. Proper attic venting was also incorporated to promote healthy airflow and extend the roof’s lifespan.
For the finishing detail, we installed IKO Hip & Ridge shingles, which are made from a resilient inorganic glass base and coated with weather-resistant asphalt. These pre-tapered, three-piece shingles are surfaced with ceramic-colored granules, protecting the roof from ultraviolet damage while adding a clean, refined appearance. Once the installation was complete, our team performed a meticulous cleanup, leaving the property in pristine condition. The result is a beautiful, impact-resistant roofing system built to withstand the elements for years to come.
