Maryanne’s home in West Fargo, ND, needed more than just new shingles; it needed a roofing system she could trust through wind, hail, and long winters. Vita Roofing started with a free estimate and a clear plan, then protected the property with tarps before getting to work. The old roof was fully removed down to the decking, where our team inspected every section and replaced any soft or rotted OSB, CDX, or 1x6 boards to ensure the structure beneath was sound.
From there, we built the roof layer by layer for maximum protection. Sealoron XT Ice and Water Shield was installed with two rows along the eaves and an additional row in the valleys, while all decking seams were reinforced with Sealoron XT Deck Tape. Velora One Synthetic Underlayment covered the remaining roof area, followed by an aluminum drip edge around the perimeter, seam-taped at the eaves. Starter shingles were installed along all rakes and eaves, creating a strong base for the final roofing material.
The project was completed with IKO Dynasty Shingles, Class 3 impact-rated shingles with built-in algae resistance, increased thickness, and upgraded tar and nailing strips for long-term durability. Proper venting, flashings, and hip and ridge components were installed to finish the system. We also tracked down and repaired an existing leak by cutting four inches into the siding, installing new step flashing, adding and painting a trim board, and sealing the edge for lasting protection. After a detailed cleanup, Maryanne was left with a clean job site and a roof designed to perform for years to come.
