A commercial building in Bemidji, MN, had been dealing with persistent roofing problems when the owner, Dan, called Vita Roofing out of Fargo, ND, for help. Upon inspection, the team immediately noticed the membrane was in rough shape. Previous repair work was visible throughout the roof, but it was clear that those efforts had reached their limit. Seals were breaking down, and several sections were actively failing, allowing problems to worsen over time.
Once Dan saw the full extent of the wear and tear, he agreed that another patch job wouldn’t solve the issue. Vita Roofing performed a complete tear-off and installed a new roofing system featuring a 1/2" Poly ISO HD board beneath a fully adhered EPDM membrane for enhanced durability and performance. The installation included a full assembly of components such as bonding adhesive, primer, flashings, pipe boots, term bar, lap sealant, and water block. The parapet walls were carefully addressed with a fully adhered system, folded under cap metal on the east and south walls, while the west wall was secured with a termination bar and masonry fasteners. With the addition of screws, plates, and low-rise foam, the building now has a reliable, long-lasting roofing system in place.
