Photo Album: IKO Dynasty Roof Replacement in Grand Forks, ND | Vita Roofing
Scott had watched his roof age for years. What was once a vibrant green had faded to a dull, washed-out shell of its former self, shingles lifted at the edges, granules long gone, and the kind of wear that tells you the roof isn't protecting the house the way it should anymore. When it was finally time to do something about it, he called Vita Roofing out of Fargo, and the crew showed up ready to do it right.
Vita replaced the entire roof using IKO Dynasty shingles, a Class 3 impact-rated product with built-in algae resistance and an upgraded tar strip for a stronger, more reliable seal. Underneath the shingles, the team installed VeloraONE synthetic underlayment, a four-layer system engineered for the kind of brutal North Dakota winters that push lesser products to their limits. SealoronXT Ice & Water Shield, an extreme-temperature product designed exclusively for the Klaus Roofing system, was installed in vulnerable areas and new chimney flashing. IKO hip and ridge capping completed the installation from peak to edge.
For Scott, the transformation was night and day. The old, faded roof is gone, replaced by a system built to stand up to Grand Forks winters, spring hailstorms, and everything in between. That's what Vita Roofing, as a proud Klaus Larsen dealer, brings to every job: not just a new roof, but a complete roofing system built the right way from the ground up.
Roof Replacement & shongle removal
Our team works hard to get the old asphalt removed from Scott's roof. They are checking for any damage to the decking.
Removing underlayment and decking
We did find areas of weakened decking and a lack of a moisture barrier that would have helped the cause. They are setting up the shingles, so this will be a seamless install.
Installing ice & water barrier
The roof installers are adding the underlayment after replacing the decking that was previously damaged.
Old damaged shongles
This is a great view of the extent of the asphalt damaged during the removal process.
Checking the roofing for any weak or poor sealed sections.
Making sure there are no areas where the roof can leak once the roofing layers are installed,

Underlayment is almost finished
The multi-layered ice & wind barrier is getting nearly fully installed. This will protect the underroof and decking for decades to come.
